How to update components installed via Quicksetup?

Hello,

I have successfully installed OwnTracks using Quicksetup on Ubuntu 22.04, and everything is running smoothly. Very nice software!!! Thanks for that.

However, I couldn't find any documentation on how to update the installed components (e.g., Mosquitto, OwnTracks Recorder, the web frontend, etc.).

Does rerunning bootstrap.sh update the components, or does it only reapply the existing configuration? Will the components bei updated with apt-get update && apt-get upgrade?
Is there a recommended way to manually update each component while keeping the current configuration intact?

Any guidance or official update procedure would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you got it working.

We don't automatically update the system for you, but you are free to do so at any time with update and upgrade as you describe.

If you wish you might want to enable unattended updates which work quite well for us.
