Describe conceptual handing of 3D

We need to provide a conceptual handing of 3D within which specific handling will occur.

This conceptual handling needs to address the scope of 3D handing in GeoSPARQL and position GeoSPARQL's handling alongside other, specialised, ontologies for 3D information.

This handing needs to then be tested by creating example 3D data for different communities with different needs. For example, the 3D Cadastre user community, 3D scanned objects, soils modelling.

Interactions with the 3D testing communities are listed in Issue #519

A couple of observations...

Some interesting (conceptual) work of relevance from the archaeology/heritage community. The treatment of spacetime volumes uses GeoSPARQL. The focus here would be on 3D geometries and topological relations. This community also has a strong focus on stratigraphy (as a proxy for temporal relations).

Support for 3D geometry is also necessary for the inclusion of GeoSPARQL into IES, which is ongoing. The focus there is on mereology of spacetime, so a set of 3D relations would be of primary interest, geometries also.
