macOS: gargoyle-postgres-monitor: thread blocked indefinitely in an MVar operation

On macOS: Occasionally I'm seeing this in my terminal after connecting to a gargoyle postgresql database. I've seen it both in the psql shell (when my connection had already died) and even after the psql shell was closed.
