Improve design of App Icon and Menubar Display

Hey there,

I love the application, and thought I should open a discussion around improving the App Icon and the menubar icon of AeroSpace. Starting design discussions are hard because its subjective from person to person. So, these are just my opinions

My main point is that the current AeroSpace App Icon suffers from a lack of polish and identity. Additionally, there is no consistency between the app icon and the menu bar icon. To be specific:

1. The space background from OSX Leopard, while looks beautiful - makes the Application look outdated. I feel like we could use the beautiful gradient colors of it, and make it more modern by replacing it.
2. Blurred window makes the icon even busier, without providing much info. Simply following the Rectangle icon standard makes more sense to me here
3. Breaks the consistency between the other elements, and not really legible - could be either removed - or made larger to be slightly legible
4. No consistency between App Icon and menu-bar icon

In contrast - these are some examples of icons which I consider 'polished'. They are all in the same category of Window management - and have modern looking icons which are also distinct. They also have consistent simplified monotone menu bar icons which match their main application icon.

i really like the shape, genius. Would love to see a variant with more colors (possibly some colors of the original icon?)

Spent way too long trying new colours—not the most vibrant but a little more exciting :)

Alternative colourways and a new beveled icon.

These are fun prototypes and should be polished before actual use. All are welcome to modify the icons as they please.

The idea is to make the iconic buttons more "airy". Somebody more talented can try to make them form an actual cloud

hey i really like the overlapping circles, although the math symbols feel like they're a bit too specific. Almost made me think of a calculator initially haha. Regardless, its a massive improvement over the existing icon

Sorry it took me some time to get some work done regarding this. These are my entries of 4 total variants :)

I went for a colorful + abstract design rather than something more obvious. I feel like it should make the app stand out while also retaining its original icons 'soul' of having multiple colors.

Feel free to let me know what you think + any feedback on any other iterations you'd like to see

p.s concept 2 - dark variant is my personal favorite
