Disabling "Show virtual keyboard" doesnt hide the navbar

Describe the bug
Toggling off the virtual keyboard in the choose input method switcher doesnt hide the navbar like Keymapper Basic input method does

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Choose input method
2. Toggle show virtual keyboard off

Expected behavior
The navbar shouldnt be visible
