Description
To extend the matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals#4133 ability to set arbitrary extra fields in the user profile, I've now created matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals#4255 to resurrect the endpoints we removed from it late last year.
I know the main complexity here is supporting the PATCH endpoint, however a PUT implementation would be a great start in the meantime, and I'm happy to help push projects (Ruma?) to support the extra method if the lack of it is a blocker 🙂
