How do I use Github Models?

Hi. If I have access to use Copilot via copilot.lua should I then also be able to use the github provider in parrot?

Please forgive for the basic question.

Do I just add an API token for my github account a use that in parrot to connect or how does it work?

Yes, you can simply follow the instructions here to get access: https://docs.github.com/en/github-models/prototyping-with-ai-models#experimenting-with-ai-models-using-the-api. And indeed, like Copilot, there is a free quota, I believe.

I am sadly getting a lot of gibberish using my API key (see pasted example).

I do not quite understand why. I can see that this plugin uses another API endpoint that for example CodeCompanion does for Copilot provider.
I have no issues when using CodeCompanion with authentication via copilot.lua.

Are the implementation in CodeCompanion fundamentally different from your implementation and that would explain the issues?

Additional info: I am not on the free tier :).

@Dynge, the output looks weird indeed. However, it seems that everything is working fine with the API calls.
To clarify: parrot.nvim is really not about completion that copilot was primarily made for. The idea is to invoke LLMs on demand, to execute routines on text defined by prompts. I hope this helps to clarify a bit.

codecompanion.nvim is a great plugin with way more functionalities than parrot.nvim.

I think it may be because I am using the free version. It seems to produce gibberish as soon as I request it to return a long answer.

Do you know how I instruct it to use the paid version that I have access to? Is the Azure API endpoint maybe only for the free version?
