Description
Nixpkgs version
- Unstable (25.05)
Describe the bug
When playing a video, hardware decoding does not engage, even though it is supported by my hardware. In my case it is a Intel Core i7-1360P (laptop CPU). This works fine when running the flatpak version of the package instead, and inside my web browser. Therefore I expect it to be a package error rather than a configuration error.
Steps to reproduce
Open Plex Desktop, and play a video that should use hardware decoding, and notice that the CPU usage spikes. In my case this is on a laptop intel GPU from the 13th gen, but it may well affect others.
Expected behaviour
Hardware decoding should engage, and not make the CPU usage spike.
