[Bug]: Pasting images copied using Samsung SmartSelect is broken

What happened?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, using SmartSelect to capture a part of the screen using the S Pen, then copying it

at that point I switch to the Select tool, double tap the screen with my finger and press the paste button - nothing happens

copying an image the usual way, e.g. from the browser works fine

Okay, this seems really strange that the behavior is different.

Fortunately I also have a galaxy and can reproduce the behavior
